Responsive , No !

I have taken the first step.
The new mobile home page is live and I made an presentation about my project to the team in Portuguese.

My vision for the mobile website is to provide our customers easy and intuitive shopping experience.
I believe that can only be achieved by having a dedicated mobile site not a responsive version.

Mobile site should be independent of the desktop version because the behavior and need of customers browsing on mobile is completely different from that of desktop.
The customers on mobile tend to be impatient and seek quick information.

The space is limited on mobile, the trick is to show only what is relevant for the customer.

After changing the home page there has been a significant decrease in bounce rate and increase in conversion rate.

Do check the homepage of the site and let me know what do you think.

Mobile First ! or you are Last

As per the Ericsson mobility report  By 2020, 90 percent of the world's population over 6 years old will have a mobile phone, and smartphone subscriptions are expected to top 6.1 billion.

What e-commerce did to retail , mobile is doing to e-commerce.

More than 50% of e-commerce traffic is now driven by mobile and this number is growing day by day.

Retailers need to understand that the customers have moved from Desktop to mobile,The mobile devise is the remote control for our lives, make sure consumers have a great experience with your brand on the smart phone or else you will lose them.

Its time to change the mindset and have a clear and focused "mobile first" strategy.Which means " Every piece of code, every touch, every colour, every pixel should be considered on mobile first"

This is my first challenge here in Brazil to make people from all departments website, media, design, customer care etc  switch their focus from desktop to mobile.
Of course, I will have to show some positive results to Convince everyone for real.Boa sorte !
